Think Piece (1986) -in this graduate design project James was
asked to create a  "House of Conflict" for rival architects – Leon
Krier and Denise Scott Brown.  He chose the symbolic pyramid
with Krier inhabiting the traditional center and Scott-Brown the
outer ruins, which had been made over into a terraced set of
rooms and courtyards.  The entrance is from a mythical river,
passing through two iconic statues in a traditional felucca.   From
this point, they traveled up the Nile to the Olduvai Gorge, where
they explored the roots of mankind, in an attempt to resolve their
conflicting views on habitation.
