Le Corbusier: Complete Works
edited by Willy Boesiger

Boesinger worked on this monograph series from 1929 to 1970 in direct
cooperation with Le Corbusier to produce what is widely regarded as the
most definitive statement on Modern Architecture.  The eight volumes
combine to give you the most complete legacy of
Le Corbusier available
on the market.  This set has greatly influenced contemporary architects
such as Tadao Ando.
Neutra: Complete Works
by Barbara Lamprecht

Neutra apprenticed under Frank Lloyd Wright, but it his European roots
are readily apparent in the clean modern lines of his buildings.  Neutra
also championed the
Health House , the breathtaking home of Dr. Lovell
overlooking Hollywood, long before it became a fashionable term.
Renzo Piano Building Workshop
by Peter Buchanan

This is a stunning 4-volume series in progress, which showcases all of
Piano's work to date, ranging from the
Centre Pompidou in Paris to the
Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center in New Caledonia.  Piano's
Building Workshop is one of the more innovative architectural design
studios in the world today.
Ando: Complete Works
by Philip Jodidio

Tadao Ando has certainly had one of the most unique paths to architecture.
He apparently started out as a truck driver, before discovering the
monographs of Le Corbusier.   Largely self-taught, Ando has become one
of the leading architects today, combining rigorous modernism with a
strong sense of place in such projects as
The Church of Light in Ibaraki,
Osaka, Japan
Zaha Hadid
edited by Gordana Fontana-Giusti

Zaha Hadid has been a leading force in contemporary architecture, having
recently won the
Pritzker Prize (2004).  She often pushes the structural as
well as the spatial limits of architecture in such buildings as the
Vitra Fire
Station in Rhein, Germany.  Her work continues to grow and develop in
such projects as the
BMW Plant in Leipzig.
