Service United States Peace Corps 1988-90, the mountain kingdom of Lesotho in southern Africa, He served as a volunteer in a rural high school, teaching math and science. He introduced a three-dimensional approach to teaching descriptive geometry, and also inaugurated an arts and crafts class at the junior high school level. Professional Experience Lowell National Historical Park 1985, an architectural division of the National Park Service, Bill Barlow, chief architect, He served as an architectural intern, during which time he was introduced to a broad range of restoration and rehabilitation projects within the National Park. He prepared existing condition drawings of portions of the historic locks and canals, as well as detailed maps of the city. Historic American Buildings Survey 1986-95, Paul Dolinsky, chief architect, He was part of seven summer field recording teams, supervising five of these teams, which documented nationally significant structures throughout the United States. In addition, he had several extensions on projects, which included the preparation of a historic structures report for Fort Sumter National Monument in Charleston, SC. The study he did on the subsidence of the structure was published in the Cultural Resources Magazine of the NPS. These documents have been placed on permanent record in the Library of Congress. The Denver Service Center 1992-3, an architectural division of the National Park Service, Anthony Donald, supervisor, He served as an historic architect at the Falls Church Branch, outside Washington, DC, preparing historic structures reports for historic buildings at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park WV, and Monocacy National Battlefield, MD. These reports included drawings, structural and historic surveys, as well as guidelines and drawings for the proposed restoration or rehabilitation of the structures. In addition, He worked with a planning team on the comprehensive plan for the Monocacy National Battlefield, and was briefly involved in the restoration of the Washington Monument. Christ and Associates, 1993-4, Tom Christ, principal architect, He prepared design development and construction documents for several residences in the award-winning community of Seaside , as well as other residences on the Florida gulf coast. dag architects, 1995-7, Charles W. Clary and Samuel Blimling, founding partners, He worked with this established architectural firm in Northwest Florida, designing, preparing master plans and construction documents for various seaside residences, commercial buildings, schools and churches in the area. SHKS architects, 2005, Mark Snyder, Jon Hartung, principal architects, He worked on a contract basis for this Seattle firm, preparing a set of construction documents for a lakeside residence for permit, and developing a design for a small manufacturing company. Overseas Professional Experience UAB Rustas, 1997-2001, Adakras Sestakauskas, director, He was involved in the planning and design of four residences and one commercial building in Zverynas, a bedroom community of Vilnius, and did the interior designs for two of these residences. UAB Veduta, 2000-4, Giedre Filipaviciene, chief architect, He was the principal designer and project manager for the design and development of a restaurant and guest house in the Trakai Historic National Park, outside Vilnius, in addition to other projects. He introduced an innovative wood post and beam construction, working within the building regulations set by the national design review board in this historic town. Vilnius Gediminas Technical University 2001-4, E. Staniunas, dean of architecture, He taught part time at the college of architecture in the main technical university in Lithuania. The subjects included first year graphic design, third year building design and fourth year modern architectural history and theory. Senojo Miesto Architektai, 2005 - present, He is currently working with a collaborative of architects and planners in Vilnius on a wide variety of projects, including a residential development in Palanga and a mixed-use development in Vilnius.
